Taking Breaks

Breaks are paid but must be logged in the app. Always use Start Break and End Break every shift — failing to do so will affect your payroll record.

  1. During your active session, tap Start Break.
  2. Slide to confirm.
  3. Your break timer begins.

When starting a break, you can set how long your break will be:

  • Duration ranges from 15 minutes to 60 minutes, in 5-minute increments.
  • The maximum break duration is 60 minutes (1 hour).
  • You will receive a push notification 5 minutes before your break ends to prompt you to return to your post.

Each break includes a 15-minute grace period at both the start and end, configured by your admin. This gives you time to travel to your break location and return to your session area without it counting against your break time.

  • Start grace: after tapping Start Break, you have 15 minutes to reach your break location before your break timer officially begins.
  • End grace: after tapping End Break, you have 15 minutes to return to your session area before your time back on shift is recorded.
  1. Return to your session area before your break ends.
  2. Tap End Break.
  3. Slide to confirm.
  4. If live tracking is off, a location request may appear. Tap Allow to confirm you are back on site.

Multiple breaks per session are supported. Each break must be individually started and ended through the app.

  • Keep your phone with you so you do not miss the 5-minute reminder notification.
  • Use the start grace period to walk to your break location — you do not need to rush immediately after tapping Start Break.
  • Use the end grace period to make your way back — tap End Break when you start heading back, not when you are already at your post.
  • Make sure you are back inside the session area before your end grace period runs out — if live tracking is off, the app will capture your location at that moment.
  • If you accidentally started a break, end it immediately and inform your manager.
